Brief Biography:

Sri B.G.Krishna Reddy joined the REC Warangal in 1959 as its first batch student. He passed his B.E(Mech) in 1964 (O.U.Degree). After passing out he worked in NSD canals for a period of three months. Later he joined back in REC warangal as Associate Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering on 19th August 1964. He studied M.Tech during 1966-1968 on deputation under UNESCO Scheme promoted to Lecturer in 1972. He did PhD on part time basis and obtained degree in 1978. He is the first person to get PhD in Mechanical Engineering from REC warangal (K.U.Degree). During this time he has undergone a number of Industrial Training programs and attended and conducted a number of winter and summer schools,seminars and conferences. Parallel to these he was NCC officer for six years. He was hostel warden for 8 Years.

During 1982-84, he went to Nigeria (West Africa ) on FAS and worked at the University of Benin,(Central University ) , Benin City. He travelled in USA,Europe,Malaysia and Singapore. In 1987 he was promoted to Professor of Production Engineering(Machine Tools ). He taught a number of courses for the UG,PG,UG(FDH) and PG(PTDC) at REC Warangal. He was a member of CAC during 1993-1996. He was the HOD of the MED,REC warangal. He also worked as chairman for games committee for four years. He worked as a Head of the Production engineering section for six years from jan 1998 - may 2000. He worked as Dean, student affairs . He guided 52 UG and 45 PG dissertations and 4 PhD thesis. He has 55 research publications. Best Teacher Award is given by RECTAW,RECW. The award is given in recognition of the decided service rendered as professor of mechanical engineeering & Dean student's affairs. Best Alumni awarded is given on the 40th foundation celebration of RECW. He retired from RECW on 31st May 2000. In all, he got all the three degrees and his son also studied at RECW. He stayed for 41 Years at REC, Warangal and seen 42 Batches passing out from REC, Warangal(The Present NIT, Warangal).

Soon after retirement, Prof. B.G.Krishna Reddy worked as professor & Head of Mechanical Engineering at MGIT(CBIT), Gandipet, Hyderabad. He designed and introduced the Course "MECHATRONICS " in MGIT and JNTU.

Later in March 2002, he joined as Principal at MITS,Kodad, Nalgonda Dist.

Later in August 2002, he joined as the Principal of Royal Institute of Technology and Science ,Chevella, Rangareddy Dist. A.P.,

Later in Feb 2005 Worked as Principal at JBREC(JBIET),Yenkapally,RR Dist.Moinabad(M),AP.

Later in Aug 2006 Worked as Principal at Avanti Institute of Technology & Science,Hayath Nagar(M),RR Dist., AP.

From June 2007 He is the Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Dean Academic affairs at SRTIST,Nalgonda.
