Parampara-2006, the Alumni get-together of SRTIST was held on 8th January, 2006. The programs started at 11.00 AM with an invocation song by Miss. Madhuri the student of 2000 batch. Miss V. Shilpa another student of 2000 batch and assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering department has welcomed the gathering. The program was launched formally through lightning the lamp by our Principal Prof. Dr. Talla Venkat Reddy and other dignitaries.
           Decennial year cake of SRTIST was cut by our Principal. Mr. B. Sridhar Reddy, Staff coordinator of SRTIST Alumni Association (SRTISTAA) presented the report on the activities from the inception of the association. Prof. Talla Venkat Reddy, Principal of SRTIST and Rector of SRTIST Alumni association addressed the gathering and presented the report on the activities of the college. Sri.G. Sanjeeva Reddy, Director of SRTIST also shared his views with the members present. Mr. M. Narsinga Rao, President SRTISTAA highlighted on the objectives and goals of the association, The President also announced Late Sri. M. Revanth Memorial Award for best out going student. The award consists of f Rs.3, 000/- and has to be given for the best out going student based on the merit and overall performance. He also requested the alumni to support the institution all its present and future activities.
           Later alumni shared their experience with the gathering. Mr. P. Ajay Reddy, MD Napta Technologies fondly remembered his days in SRTIST. The other members shared their experiences are Mr. Sreekanth & Sivkumar of Infosys, Neela Santhoshkumar . It was heartening to note that many alumni came forward and contributed towards the SRTISTAA. Mr. B. Krishna Prasad from Sathyam Computers, Mr. M. Narsinga Rao and Mr. P. Ajay Reddy have supported the National Seminars of the Mechanical Engineering. , Chemical Engineering and also the Paramapara-2006.
           Later on the some of the alumni members entertained the audience by singing old and new songs. The present students of SRTIST gave a dance performance. The elections for the executive body were conducted under the supervision of Mr. B. Sridhar Reddy, and the unanimously elected new executive body was announced. Our Principal presented specially designed mementos for all the 200 and odd members present. The Institute has hosted a delicious lunch. The program was concluded with the Vote of thanks by Miss. S .Swetha a student of 2001 batch and assistant Professor CSE department.
           SRTISTAA takes this opportunity to thank the alumni members for participating in this program and making it a grand success. SRTISTAA wishes to record its thanks to the Management, Principal, Teaching and Non-teaching staff of SRTIST for all their support. We hope that alumni would continue to support us in all our future endeavors.
