The Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering department was established in 2001. The Department has sufficient number of well qualified staff members.

EIE Department is one of the very important Departments in SRTIST. It believes in

• Importing best knowledge and skills in Instrumentation Engineering
• It organizes periodically seminars, workshops and expert – lectures for the benefit of the students and staff.
• It arranges for Industrial visits with a view to bridge the gap between Industry and academics.
• It has well Experience teaching staff who utilize all modern teaching aids, like OHP, LCD and etc.,
• Two students of this department have secured 37th rank in GATE 2005 and 17th rank in GATE 2006. GATE is an entrance Examination conducted every year at national level, for entrance to P.G courses in reputed Technological Institutes in India.

It consists of fully equipped following laboratories to cover the syllabus prescribed by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The details of these laboratories are as follows.
* Process Control Lab
* Instrumentation Lab-I
* Instrumentation Lab-II
* Instrumentation Lab-III

INDUSTRIAL VISITS & INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

The department believes that practical aspects of engineering must be embedded in the students and must be integrated with academic instructions. The department also organizes industrial visits to various organizations all over India.
Most number of staff from the department was deputed to attend summer and winter courses.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Students are encouraged to participate in Technical Paper contests and working Model Exhibitions organized by various technical colleges in India.

The students of this department won 1st and 2nd prizes in both SRUJANA-2005 & SRUJANA-2006, which is a state level completion for all engineering college students organized at Osmania University campus.
