We at SRTIST are vibrant community with emphasis on holistic development. Extra Curricular Activities are encouraged and students are active participants in such activities.
SRTIST is not only involving all its
students in the national level professional bodies like ISTE students
chapter it is motivating the students to come together and form
their own professional associations with a view to directly contribute
to the process of producing and shaping top quality professionals
required by the various industries & organizations
Now there is a Computer Engineering Students Association (CSA),
Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA), an Electronics
Engineering Students Association (EESA), Information Technology
Students Association (ITSA), Electrical Technical Assocation (ETA)
and Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA). Through these
associations institute is arranging various academic programmers
.It has conducted state level workshop in Finite Elements Methods
&Seminar on Environmental science and Acheson a national level one.
Many of SRTIST students have presented technical papers and participated
in number of state and national level technical seminars and symposia
and won laurels. The Institute has membership in many professional
bodies like ISTE,IEEE and CSI.
The activities of games and sports are conducted on a regular basis.
Inter departmental competitions are held on different occasions.
Many of our students have represented the college and University
in many events, at various levels, cultural and literary activities
are also encouraged in the Institute.
NSS Activities have been being going on in the Institute for a long
time now with a view to include a sense of social responsibility
and service in the students. Recent activities of NSS include a
blood donation camp on the campus, an awareness program on HIV/AIDS
and raising of Tsunami relief fund. The Institute has started its
own Red Cross Center with the coordination of local Indian Red Cross
Society.
The Institute also keeps in touch with the parents of the students.
They are regularly informed of the attendance and performance of
their wards. Recently one parents meeting was also held in the Institute
inviting their suggestions and constructive criticism in the functioning
of the Institute.
