NSS/YRC COMMITTEE

NSS Unit Started during the academic year 2002, the NSS Unit consisting of 100 students.

NSS/YRC Advising committee is constituted with the following members for the academic year 2007-2008.

1. Mr.Ch.Girish Kumar Reddy, Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in H & S Convener
2. Mr.D.Raj Kumar, Assistant Professor in H & S Co-Convener
3. Mr.N.Goverdhan Reddy, Assistant Professor in MBA Member
4. Ms.K.R.Anusha Hinduja, Assistant Professor in ECE Member
5. Mr.A.Srikanth Assistant Professor in CSE Member

AIM: - The aim of NSS is to enable the students to upgrade their personality and experiences through community service.

Motto: - The Motto of NSS is “NOT ME BUT YOU”.
NSS promotes discipline among the students of the college.
NSS establishes a meaningful linkage between the institution and the community.
NSS establishes a good relation between teachers & taught.

OBJECTIVES:-

1. Understand the Community in which they work.
2. Understand themselves in relation to their community.
3. Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process.
4. Develop among themselves a sense of social & civil responsibilities.
5. Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems.
6. Develop competence required for group-living and sharing responsibilities.
7. Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
8. Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
9. Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters.
10. Practice national integration and social harmony.

NSS Activities conducted during the academic year are:-

1. Blood donation camp conducted on 09/12/11 in association with Govrment Hospital and Loins Club Diamond
2. Blood donation camp conducted on 26/07/07 in association with Red Cross society Nalgonda, more than 100 students donated Blood voluntarily. Our college chairman B.Damodar Reddy donated blood on this occasion.
3 . Conducted Clean & Green Programme in front of the college on 08/08/07.
4 . 80 Pits were dugged for tree plantation programme on 09/08/07.
5 . Tree plantation was done on August 15th, 80 saplings were planted.
6 . Conducted Essay writing, Debate, Dance Programme & distributed prizes on the Eve of NSS day on 24th September 2007
7 . Organized Blood Grouping to all first year students in association with Red Cross Society Nalgonda.
