MCA AS A COURSE

From the early 1970’s there has been initiative to establish computer programs in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. The ever-growing use of computer system in a wide variety of fields has generated, during the last two decades, a large demand for computer professionals. The Government of India duly took this evolving situation into consideration by laying stress on computer education in the National Policy on Education in 1986. The higher education system of the country has spared no efforts to identify the needs of computer professional in different sectors. At present three-year postgraduate degree as MCA (Master of Computer Applications) is offered by the Indian Universities.

Course duration of MCA program shall be three years divided in six semesters. Each semester is of 15 weeks duration with the targeted total duration of 180-week days.

MCA IN SRTIST

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is introduced in our college in the academic year 2005-2006. The course is affiliated to JNTU, Hyderabad. Ours is the very first college in the Nalgonda town to introduce MCA course under JNTU, with a total intake of 60 students.
The institute is providing two separate Computer Laboratories with 1:1 student-systems ratio. Each of the two labs has 30 latest configuration Systems with a separate server.
There is a separate section in the Library for MCA. Each student is given 3 books. A separate bus is provided for MCA students.
In addition to the curriculum, the college is also offering Spoken English and Communication Skills courses. Internet Access and Digital Library facilities are also provided.
